Grammar: Nominative Case

All words given so far have been in given in the Nominative Case which is the basic form of the word shown in a dictionary (dictionary form of words). Nominative case indicates the subject of the sentence (who or what is doing something.) This form indicates that the noun is the subject of a sentence Nominative case also follows “to” (this) where “this” indicates persons or things.

Polish for "This is my fly." is "To jest moja mucha."
Polish for "The fish is there." is "Ryba jest tam."
